Mayoria Global, Inc., a multimedia driven student learning and development company, was founded in 2007 by a group of professionals from the financial, marketing and education fields. In founding Mayoria Global, its Founder and Principal Partner, Cesar Garcia, wanted to create an organization that tackled many of the challenges that he faced while in high school.

As a financial professional with ten yrs of Wall St. experience, Cesar quickly decided to make financial literacy a core category. However, he also wanted to open doors to new opportunities that would develop a student professionally and make them more marketable to there chosen college/university and future employer. "We present students with the right products and services that tackle everything from test preparation to preparing onself for their first interview," said Cesar. "We offer unique categories in student development which we believe to be necessary to succeed in today's competitive and challenging world and job market, " added Cesar.

Many of our programs available for purchase online have a workshop component built into it. Mayoria Global works with some of the most successful minds that the education industry has to offer.

Every workshop that is scheduled is also designed and administered by certified instructors with years of experience in that category.

More on our approach.

A student's overall knowledge, skills, academic achievement and scores go a long way when applying for college. Yes, the vast majority of schools view the SAT as an important part in the admissions process. However, that is not everything that schools look at when they make their decisions on whom they accept and who they skip out on. Extracurriuclar accomplishments, community involvement and how a student presents themselves during the college interview also weigh in.

No college wants a student who is not motivated and ready to tackle rigorous, college assignments. What kind of classes have students taken in high school? Have any of the classes been Advanced Placement? Have they shown leadership? Do they have a strong application essay? Has the student challenged themselves while in high school? Do students have a rigorous class schedule?

For most colleges, this is even better than having the best grades. A college or university wants someone that is going to best represent them on and off campus. Even at the most selective schools, SAT scores alone do not determine who's accepted or rejected. "Students might be surprised to hear that Princeton University turns down 76 percent of its applicants who scored between 750 and a perfect 800 on the SAT," says Joyce Slayton Mitchell, the director of college advising at the Nightingale-Bamford School in New York City. "Students do not need a perfect score and perfect grades to get in. It takes more than that. They need to pursue other activities and interests that are unique to them," added Joyce.

A student's interest in extra-curricular activities and their community involvement proves to schools that a future leader awaits them. Being involved in extracurricular activities show admissions officers that you are a well-rounded student and that you are good with time management skills. Colleges want students who are going to be involved with activities on their campus. They want students that are on the fast track with their own personal development. Students that know what they want, have desires and goals stated on their resumes, will go far with schools. ECampusTours.com states colleges like to admit students who, as a group, will have a variety of experiences, talents, viewpoints, and backgrounds. Many colleges believe in adding a great deal of richness to classroom discussions, social events, and simple late-night conversations with friends. That is why a student's unique development is critical in the recruitment process. Colleges want a community where their students can learn from one another.
